Misi Boros Piano Evening


The concert will feature works by J. S. Bach, L. v. Beethoven, R. Schumann and Béla Bartók, performed by pianist Misi Boros, recipient of the Junior Prima Award and the Young Ambassador of Hungarian Classical Music Award.

This will be the fourth occasion on which audiences can enjoy Misi Boros’s virtuosic piano playing in the intimate concert hall of Csigó Malom. As part of his engaging performance, the young artist will also enrich the programme with fascinating insights into music history.

Misi Boros pianist, who was recognized by the public as a prodigy in 2014, was born on April 11, 2003, in Pécs.

He has spent all his free time at the piano since the age of four. He began his musical studies at six and from the age of eight was a student of the Special Talents Class at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.

After winning the first season of the classical music talent show Virtuózok in 2014, he was admitted at age 11 to the Special Talents Class of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music. Since 2017, his mentor has been pianist Gergely Bogányi.

In addition to his domestic successes, he has won piano competitions in Rome, Milan, and Paris. By the age of seventeen, he had performed in more than 300 concerts, collaborating with over 20 orchestras and conductors on some of the most prestigious stages across Europe, the United States, and the Far East.

He is committed to making classical music more widely known. At a joint concert with Virtuózok held at the Papp László Sports Arena, 5,000 people attended, and in Shenzhen, China, he represented Hungarian culture in front of an audience of 40,000. The live broadcast was followed by 400 million viewers online.

His talent has been recognized with numerous awards. One of his most respected professional admirers is pianist Tamás Vásáry, who said, “...Misi will truly become one of the greatest artists we know.”

The press has dubbed him “the prince of the piano.” Misi Boros’s charming presence and captivating personality have also contributed to audiences embracing him from the very first moment.

Since 2023, he has regularly performed for the audience at Csigó Malom.
