Composer’s Evening featuring Georg-Friedrich Lawall, renowned guitarist and composer, joined by his friends.

Internationally acclaimed guitarist and composer Georg-Friedrich Lawall returns to the Csigó Malom following his highly successful solo concert in 2024. As part of this year’s Csigó Art Fest, he enriches the concert series with a program composed entirely of his own works.

Often referred to as a “sound magician”, Lawall has been performing on guitar, vihuela, and sitar since 1973. Since his debut in Spain, he has toured the world extensively, performing in many countries. Widely regarded as one of the greats in his field, he is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including “Artist of the Year.”

His double album Guitar Classics became a global bestseller. As a music educator, he has trained many professional musicians who continue to promote plucked instruments internationally as his worthy successors.

As a composer, Lawall has expanded the repertoire with numerous original works, including four concertos for guitar and orchestra, as well as symphonies, oratorios, operas, chamber pieces, and études. His compositions are available on YouTube, CDs, sheet music, and other publications. GEMA has recognized him as a composer with a comprehensive lifetime achievement.

Lawall moved to Hungary three years ago and now lives near the Kis-Balaton, actively participating in the region’s classical music scene. He regularly performs with both Hungarian and international artists, accompanied by organ, violin, and piano. This year he is also scheduled for concerts in Germany and France.

Salon Program: Informal conversation accompanied by a wine tasting.

Ticket: 4.500 HUF
