G.F. Händel: Largo (Xerxes)
G.F. Lawall: Die dritte Farbe *

Lawall’s first sitar composition, blending three national anthems.

Ein gar so traurig Liedelein – Fuga (anonymous 1608)+ Milan called this fantasia "new music," where expression and improvisation are more important than beautiful polyphony. The birth of flamenco!

Marschner was a student of Beethoven and an important role model for Wagner with his German operas.

G.F. Lawall: 3 Stilblüten from Op. 3 Erdig – Einfach aber wahr – Gospelhorn

German jazz master J.E. Behrend wrote about these pieces: "Lawall doesn’t play jazz, he plays jazz and more!"

Tiento - Ricercare + 2 Doubles - Cadenza Francesco was the only one alongside Michelangelo to be called "Il Divino." Georg Lawall, born in 1952 in Kirchheim/Teck, studied guitar and composition in Essen and Munich. Since his debut in Spain (Girona, 1972), Lawall has been recognized as one of the leading figures in his field and has trained numerous professionals. His first LP, "OREXIS," won the "German Record Award" and the "Artist of the Year" award in 1978, and his double CD, "Guitar Classics," became a worldwide bestseller, most recently with EMI/Warner. His guitar etudes were published by Ed. PETERS. He has enriched the repertoire with numerous works of his own, including four concertos for guitar and orchestra. Many guitarists have played his famous "Nai Harn Rip-off" (seven of whom recorded it on CD). He was the first to transcribe and record Handel's harpsichord works, Beethoven's piano sonatas, Schumann, and Scriabin on a large scale. Numerous concert tours have taken him around the globe multiple times, and his full-length compositions (three operas, three oratorios, etc.) have been repeatedly performed. The GEMA classifies him as a "composer with a comprehensive body of work."

He has collaborated with numerous musicians from classical, jazz, and rock backgrounds, as well as dancers and actors, at major festivals and in radio and television recordings. Additionally, the "phenomenal multitalent" (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung) is considered "the only significant German sitar player" (Rheinische Post) and plays "verily like an Indian ustad" (Singapore Strait Times). He has developed his own style and repertoire. Numerous CDs and two YouTube channels document the work of the "LORD OF THE STRINGS," the master of the strings!
